Connect online

Are other members of The New Agenda in your neighborhood? In the same city, the same state, or even right next door? This is an open thread for members to post their names and locations. (But remember, this is the internet, so be careful about posting personal details.)
To be connected with other members in your local area, email us at: ConnectLocally@yahoo.com. The email address you provide will be shared with Team Captains and members in your area who would like to meet or exchange ideas about local New Agenda events. If you wish your email address to be shared only with a specific person you found on our list, please indicate that in your email.
In future we plan to have a zip-code locator and maybe, just maybe, even an interactive map!

Hi Anne-Marie,
Yes, I forwarded my info to New Agenda. So let’s contact each other.
Done Ali and Anne-Marie! Check your email and start organizing!
Is there anyone here from the Detroit area?
Carrollton, GA – which is quite close to the Alabama border…
@ Violet Socks, I love your personal blog. I was shocked at my level of agreement with your writings. I think of you as a ‘Rogue Wave’ feminist. Clinton and Palin were both deemed to be going rogue. I say rogue is the way to go.
I’m in PA.
I’m in California
McLean, Virginia
Anyone in Vienna, Austria?
Old lady who, when not gadding about, lives in Los Gatos, CA.

Becky here in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I already have a group of people from the primary campaign ~ we are still meeting! Please, if anyone is living near and would like to be a part of our group, speak out!
Done Sally!
“It is time that we take back the term ‘feminism’ and restore its dignity and honor.” -Amy Siskind
University of New Hampshire student who is sick of “feminist” being used as an insult.
I’m in Arlington, VA — happy to meet with anyone else in the DC metro area.
Hi,
My name is Karen, and I live in Canyon, TX.
Sometimes I think the reason the word “feminist” is able to be used as an insult is because of conversations like this:
Me: I don’t understand how portraying oneself as a sex slave is empowerment. (referring to Britney Spears)
Sister: I am sorry you don’t understand feminism.
Seacat, I’m in Seattle. Let’s talk. I’ve got a number of people (women and men) who may be interested in launching a group here.
Denver Colorado and I am starting to pass this site on to others.

I can think of other sisters who would say that too, just to be difficult.
Don’t put too much stock in it.
For those in the DC area, are you aware of the project Lynette Long was trying to organize? I don’ t know the current status of it:
http://www.lynettelong.com/
I’m excited about joining others from Dutchess County, NY. I’m from Rhinebeck.
Thank you New Agenda for all your effort and success in getting a women in Hillary’s Senate seat. I live in the 20th district and voted for Gillibrand. She will be fabulous!

Kendall
TNA can release my e-mail to you if you are interested in having an occasional off blog dialogue. If you’re interested, let them know it’s ok to release and exchange. If not interested, no hurt feelings and I will continue to look forward to your comments on the blog.
Anna
Anna,
I am delighted to continue an off line dialogue with you and I have already notified TNA to give you my personal e-mail.
I look forward to more conversation.
Anna and KendallJ- I didn’t get anything in the team captain email?

Thia – Done.
Couple of fightin’ Hillary women in Arlington Texas looking to join up with like-minded women to get more of us in public office
I am looking to join a woman’s group. Is this the same group ran by Amy Siskind?
Yes TINA, Welcome!
I’m in Mississippi, about an hour south of Memphis, TN
Count me IN!
I’m in the Lansing, Michigan area.
We have a local Hillary supporters group that is still meeting once a month, with members located all over MI. We’re also still using the Meetup.com system for this since it protects our privacy and has a built in RSVP feature. Our next meetup is coming up next week even though we lost many members after the election.
I’ll be sure to bring this topic up for starting a new group on here at The New Agenda for Michigan. Will look forward to seeing a system put in place to organize meetings and recruit interested members.
Jen the Michigander: I would be willing to travel to Detroit and anywhere in the state to hold or attend meetings. I’ll send in my email address so that people in MI can contact me.
Moderator, can you link up Woodhull, or any other Seattle/Puget Sound area people, and me by email? I haven’t yet seen anything come thru my email yet. Thanks!
Attn SeaCat and all!

central Massachusetts (hi, bluelady!)
maryland, dc area. northeast end of red line
have some contacts to former Hillary phone bankers many of them in Virginia
I’m near Boulder, CO. I’m ready to join a local group.
Greetins from South Carolina. Here we call a bigshot celebrity who wants to humiliate our children and grandchildren on national t.v….”Fishbait”….we dont like cruelty to children and we arent much on cowardly bullys who think they can prey on children and call it humor. Ive written every sponsor and am taping shows to get more (or less hopefully). Ordinary citizens dont have many ways to fight back against big networks, but Im doing my best and have enough mad in me to follow up what I say.
I’m in Chicago and did send my email address. Please get back to me. I want to make something happen here with likeminded people.
I am in Texas!
Anybody from the katy or Houston area?
Hi Carolyn, from 1 hour south of Memphis. I’m about 30 miles south of you. I emailed TNA to try to connect. There are not many feminists down south – at least not many that I’ve encountered. Would love to join forces with someone down her.
Thanks.
