The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and not necessarily those of The New Agenda.

Women helping Calling all innovators!  The Office of Global Woman’s Issues at the  US State Department is asking for your ideas to “expand opportunity and promote equitable growth” for women in all levels of our global society.

Do you have an idea that can help women and girls gain access to technology?  Does your organization have concepts to engage women in business?  Have you and your colleagues had success enabling women in poor areas of our country and abroad and just need some seed money to help you enable more women?  This is your opportunity to share your innovation with the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and bring your ideas to life on a global scale!

In order to be considered for the award you must:

…submit a concept paper that describes innovations that have proven to have a positive impact on the lives of women and girls politically, socially, or economically. The concept paper should: (1) describe the innovation, (2) how it has been successful, and, (3) how it can be supported and enlarged with additional financial support to empower women and girls in their communities.

The deadline for this concept paper submission is June 21, 2010.

For more information, please visit their website at:

http://www.state.gov/s/gwi/innovation/rfp/index.htm

Your ideas could help us reach the goals of parity for women across the world!
