Update on Monserrate…How You Can Help….
October 19, 2009
by The New Agenda
|The Democrat state senators met and Sen John Sampson, the Democrat’s Conference Leader, has decided to assemble a committee to investigate and recommend sanctions/removal of Hiram Monserrate.
The members of the committee will consist of those who have not yet come out publicly one way or another about the matter—that means that Sen Kruger (leading the charge to remove Monserrate) and Sen Diaz (who supports Monerrate) will not be on the committee—but it means that other state senators who have yet taken a public position could be.
Sen Sampson is going to spend today talking to senate members across the state to see how many are in support of his removal.
We must keep the pressure on—particularly on Sen Sampson—please take a few moments to call or email his office:
Albany office: 518.455.2788;
fax: 518.426.6806;
email: Sampson@senate.state.ny.us;
district office: 718.649.7653;
fax: 718.649.7661.
And feel free to call your own senator or any that you may know—
WE CAN DO THIS—BUT THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW!!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING A FEW MOMENTS TO HELP—IT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.

Done!
I wrote to both my NY Senator (male Democrat) and the NY senator in the next district (male Republican) and told them under no uncertain terms that Monserrate needs to go.
