Thanks to JBritto and our commenting community for alerting us to the outrageous misogyny comedians have been spewing about Sarah Palin. Here are the relevant segments.

First, from David Letterman’s Top Ten List of Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip to New York:

2) Bought make-up at Bloomingdale’s to Update her “Slutty Flight Attendant” Look.

Hillbuzz says, “Great Merciful Zeus, you will not get away with calling a sitting Governor a slutty flight attendant.”

But it gets worse. Stray Yellar Dawg’s headline reads “David Letterman Jumps the Misogyny Shark, Promotes Rape of a Minor,” referring to the following,

One awkward moment during the game, though, maybe you heard about it, maybe you saw it on one of the highlight reels.  One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.

That would be her 14-year-old daughter, Willow.

Jim Treacher of Hot Air says, “That’s right, a state governor went to a baseball game with her underage daughter, and a national talk show host made a joke about the girl being sexually assaulted by one of the players.”

Think we’re finished? Nope. Here’s VH1 comedian Chuck Nice appearing on the Today show saying of Gov. Palin,

She is very much like herpes, she’s not going away.

Governor Palin has reacted graciously, calling the Letterman comments “pathetic” in this video from Politico.

“myiq2xu” at The Confluence sums it up nicely, “What the f*** is wrong with these people?”

If we though this hatefulness would die down after the elections, it hasn’t. In fact, it may be getting worse.

The New Agenda is responding!.
Last night, our president, Amy Siskind, spoke out with a piece entitled, “Sexism Against Conservative Women is Still Sexism!” This morning, that piece is being referenced at Conservatives4Palin and many other blogs, and we are working to spread it even further.

Now we need your help!
Spread the word about Amy’s piece on your message boards and blogs, and to your favorite media outlets. Tell the media that you want The New Agenda to appear on their show to discuss sexism against conservative women! And please comment with any information you have about companies that advertise on Letterman or on the relevant hour of the Today show. You can contact CBS directly here (make sure you reference the Letterman Show in your email to CBS!).

We won’t stand for women and our daughters being treated this way!

I don’t know if I’ve ever said this, but as a conservative woman I do so appreciate the great work that you are doing! I plan on distributing this via Facebook.

Statement from the Palin’s (re: Conservatives4Palin)

UPDATE by RAM: The following statements were issued by Gov. Palin and Alaska’s First Gentleman about Letterman’s treatment of their 14-year-old daughter:

“Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”

    - Todd Palin

“Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): ‘Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands – that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.’”

    - Governor Sarah Palin

One could not comment better than the Palins have.

The bad situation is that Letterman is not a single particulary atrocious example, but types like him abound within the male liberal left.

Sarah Palin and her teenage daughters were the intended target of David Letterman’s misogyny on this occasion. However, he also took a swing at flight attendants. Has The New Agenda ccntacted the Association of Flight Attendants? Could they be allies?

“For over 60 years, AFA-CWA has fought for equality and has made significant advancements in women’s and worker’s rights. After working to end age, weight, marital status, gender, race or pregnancy discrimination against flight attendants, AFA-CWA has redefined the flight attendant profession from “sky girl” to crucial safety professionals. Flight attendants across the world have fought for the respect and dignity we hold dear today. We will not go backwards! We will stand firm in our right for dignity and respect,” added Crowley.
