Playboy: Now With More Misogyny!

This is a slightly edited version of an essay originally published on the Jenn Q. Public blog. The author’s opinions are her own, not necessarily those of The New Agenda.

Author Guy Cimbalo identifies himself on the Playboy site as a former editor of lowculture.com, from which this photo of a Guy Cimbalo was taken.

What do these women have in common?

  • Michelle Malkin
  • Megyn Kelly
  • Mary Katharine Ham
  • Amanda Carpenter
  • Elisabeth Hasselbeck
  • Dana Perino
  • Laura Ingraham
  • Pamela Geller
  • Michele Bachmann
  • Peggy Noonan

They’re conservative women that Playboy writer Guy Cimbalo would like to hate f***.

“So Right It’s Wrong”is the title of the vile, foul-mouthed piece in which each of the women profiled is given a hate f*** rating. Cimbalo manages to squeeze all four stages of conservative female abuse into his vile emesis – infantilization, sexualization, demonization, and dehumanization – and gets extra points for the sexual exoticization of a conservative woman with the audacity to be something other than white.

Michelle Malkin, for instance, is labeled a “highly f***able Filipina” and purveyor of “frothing idiocy.” Her hate f*** rating? “Worse than f***ing Eva Braun.” And “rancid shrew” Laura Ingraham’s hate f*** rating? “Vagina dentata would be an improvement.”

Of course, in Cimbalo’s serial rape fantasy, the women are, quite literally, asking for it. There’s nothing they want more than for Guy Cimbalo to teach them a sexually degrading lesson. Apparently “bilious simpleton” Elisabeth Hasselbeck “wouldn’t mind putting [her Catholic school uniform] on before taking it off for a session of sweaty, anti-American hate f***ing. And Malkin’s “tight body and get-off-my-lawn stare just scream, ‘Do me!’”

Not all of them are begging for it though. Cimbalo admits that he’d have to get Peggy Noonan liquored up before she’d be pliant enough for some “Cheever-esque hate f***ing.”

Today I should be writing about [other conservative issues]. Instead, I’m sitting here replacing the letters u, c, and k with asterisks as if I can somehow make Guy Cimbalo’s euphemism for rape easier to stomach.

Hat tip: Cap’n Ed at Hot Air

UPDATE:   Jenn points out that Playboy has removed the article from its site.  Here’s a screen grab of the first paragraph and first rating. (Click to enlarge.)

Whoops, sorry. I guess denial doesn’t sit well with me.

Just a quick update: the article has been removed from Playboy.com, but not before Guy Cimbalo wrote on Twitter: “the hate has already begun for my vile little épater — join in the fun.”

Can’t you just picture him beaming with pride, patting himself on the back in the certainty that by identifying as progressive, he has insulated himself from all past, present, and future accusations of misogyny?

This is a bit off topic, but not sure where to post it:

We need your support to call out a blogger, Matthew Holt, on his blatantly sexist and misogynist comments. He uses the terms “pussies” and “girlie-men” in disrespectful ways.

Here are his comments on The Health Care Blog:

Title of his article: “By the numbers, on single payer the Democrats are pussies”

“Now before I explain why I say the Democrats are girlie-men, let me say . . “

    ACTION PLAN:

    1. Go to Matthew Holt’s blog and let him know what you think: http://www.thehealthcareblog.c.....mment-form
He needs to hear from a lot of us!

    2. Please post also on Puma Responders!

    Thanks!

    PLAYBOY publishing misogyny.

    No fucking way.

GIve me a fucking break. Hefner’s whole magazine is one big hatefuckfest against women. Picking on this one article is almost–ALMOST–absurd.

Women need to stand up, put their clothes on, and start acting like leaders who want to change the world. And I agree with Luis even though I 100% support the gay/lesbian healthy lifestyle–Carrie Prejean should not have lost her crown for what she said.
